On July 23, 1993, a witness in Essonne observed five luminous halos from their window in a cloudy sky. Each had an apparent size of 1.5 meters and moved among each other while maintaining the same distance. The witness's mother also confirmed the sighting. After some minutes, one of the halos quickly departed while the others continued their movement. The phenomenon was silent and lasted about 15 minutes. Investigators considered the possibility of distant spotlights as the most likely explanation.
