Summary

On July 21, 1993, at around 12:30 AM, six people observed several glowing balls spinning in the sky and sweeping the horizon. The phenomenon was investigated by the GEIPAN, which initially classified it as "A" (unexplained). After the investigation, it was discovered that the source of the phenomenon was a light projector being tested at a nearby dance hall parking lot. This type of projector emits 30 rotating beams that sweep the horizon, creating the illusion of UFOs.

Although the case was initially considered unexplained, the technical explanation resolved the mystery. It serves as a classic example of how artificial lighting can create misleading optical illusions in the dark. The collective testimony remains interesting, even though the phenomenon had a clear and rational cause.
