🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
In May 2009, two witnesses in Quillan observed a very bright and stationary point in the sky between 4:25 and 4:50 in the morning. The phenomenon was photographed, and its brightness gradually decreased with the sunrise. Although recorded as a GEIPAN case, researchers concluded that it was likely an astronomical observation of Jupiter, which was particularly visible during that time of year. Jupiter's apparent magnitude was around -2.5 and its angular diameter approximately 40 arcseconds.
