🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
On the early morning of June 9, 2013, a driver in Toulouse observed silent movements of bright lights in the cloudy night sky for several minutes. The sole witness described a luminous animation similar to those used by nightclubs to signal their presence. This kind of phenomenon had been seen before in the same area, between May 22 and 23, by another witness. Weekend nights with cloudy skies are ideal for such visual effects. Although the GEIPAN did not investigate the source directly, it is likely that the nightclub "Le Coyote" in Saint-Elix-Le-Château, which frequently uses such lighting, was the source. The case was classified as "B," indicating a very probable observation of an artificial light display.
