UFO seen in Courbevoie in 2015

Summary

In March 2015, a witness in Courbevoie observed two lights that were initially stationary and then followed the same trajectory. The first one disappeared behind the buildings, and the second one imitated it. The witness saw this from a point located 85° to the right of the Total tower in La Défense, indicating a northwest direction. Upon checking Flightradar data, it was confirmed that at that moment, flights AFR1159 and AF1281 were descending toward Roissy Airport, in the same line of sight as the witness. These flights then turned slightly north. The witness's recording matches this explanation. An aircraft in descent, viewed head-on, can be visible from more than 20 km thanks to its landing lights, which overshadow the position lights and flashing lights. When the aircraft changes direction, these landing lights, with a narrow beam, no longer become visible to the observer. The GEIPAN classified this case as "A," meaning observation of aircraft in descent.
