🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In November 1950, U.S. Air Force personnel in England recorded multiple radar contacts with an unidentified object displaying highly unusual behavior. This object was detected at altitudes ranging from 1,000 feet to over 30,000 feet, with speeds varying from 30 to 1,000 miles per hour. The data indicate that the object made abrupt and frequent changes in direction and altitude, far beyond the capabilities of any conventional aircraft of the time. Despite efforts to visually locate it, no direct sightings were made, increasing uncertainty about its nature.
Air intelligence concluded that the radar contacts might have been caused by abnormal weather conditions, such as ice-laden clouds. However, reports from radar operators and personnel indicated that the equipment was functioning properly and that the data could not be explained by technical errors. The object was observed for several minutes, with interruptions, and its behavior remained incomprehensible by the standards of the time. Despite subsequent investigations, the cause of the radar contacts was never confirmed, leaving this case as one of the most intriguing in UFO history.
