🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In November 1952, a security officer at Imperial Beach, California, observed an object that defied logic. While on duty at the tower of a naval communications station, he noticed a bright yellow light with orange hues that remained still for a few minutes before vanishing rapidly to the west. The officer reported the incident to the chief officer, and later, upon returning to the area, the same phenomenon occurred again. Interestingly, another officer, Parks, confirmed having seen the same object, describing an impressive speed and an appearance that suggested something beyond natural phenomena. The weather conditions were ideal: clear with unlimited visibility, which increased the credibility of the testimony.
The report, classified and later declassified, includes testimonies from two witnesses who agree in their descriptions. One of them, Officer Crittenden, mentioned that the object had a bluish reflection around its perimeter, visible both with the naked eye and binoculars. Despite the officer's experience in estimating speed and distance, the object appeared to move at a rate that did not fit conventional expectations. Like many other cases from that era, this one was cataloged as unexplained and archived, but remains a valuable testimony of the mysteries surrounding UFO sightings.
