🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In November 1957, a witness in Ogdensburg, New York, observed a small round object that changed colors between bright green, blue, white, and orange, fluctuating in brightness. The object remained nearly stationary for an observation period lasting between 10 and 25 minutes. Although initially it might have been considered a balloon or aircraft, astronomical charts showed the object was in the exact location of Venus. This led to the sighting being classified as an astronomical phenomenon, resolving the uncertainty of the report.
The observation did not include photos or radar, but astronomical data confirmed the object was Venus. This case is an example of how UFO sightings often have natural explanations, even if they seem mysterious at first. The official conclusion was clear: it was not an unknown object, but a correct identification of a visible planet.
