Summary

In 1952, multiple sightings of unidentified flying objects were reported to the CIA, mainly from French Equatorial Africa and Spain. One of the first incidents occurred in Almansa, Spain, where witnesses saw four glowing spheres crossing the sky at high speed. These had a reddish color that turned into an intense yellow as they moved away. No sound was heard, and the phenomenon lasted only a minute. In Andújar, another report described a red, round object moving silently and leaving a bright greenish trail. These sightings, though unusual, did not seem to match known phenomena like meteors or conventional aircraft.

In Gabon, a ship captain described a luminous object that made a double loop over Port Gentil before disappearing at high speed. The witness, with 20 years of experience, stated it was neither a celestial phenomenon nor an aircraft. In Algeria, sightings were also frequent. In Oran, several witnesses reported unusual bright objects with odd shapes, such as disks or cigars, moving silently and with agility. These accounts, collected by local newspapers, suggest unexplained aerial activity that caught the attention of authorities and the press at the time.
