Summary

A civilian reported in December 1964 the observation of a bright, silent object over Glen Falls, New York. The object, described as metallic and solid, made no sound and had a halo on the top and back. Initially appearing as two objects pressed together, it moved smoothly without abrupt turns. The official conclusion was that it was a balloon. The witness estimated its size to be five to six times that of a helicopter gondola, at a distance of a quarter of a mile and at an altitude of about 700 feet. Despite its unusual appearance, there was no evidence of unidentified aerial activity.
