Summary

In 1952, multiple witnesses in Morocco and French West Africa reported sightings of unidentified flying objects. An eyewitness in Dakar described a flying saucer emitting reddish and bluish flames, visible at an altitude of 1,500 meters and moving rapidly southward. At the time, the stars were not visible and there were no aircraft in the sky. In Casablanca, two night-duty police officers observed two elongated objects with a white light trail, moving at high speed. Other witnesses in different locations reported luminous objects with oval or spherical shapes that vanished suddenly, as if melting into the sky. These accounts, published in local newspapers, were collected by the CIA as part of its surveillance on unidentified aerial phenomena.

Descriptions of the objects varied, but all emphasized their speed and light emissions. Some witnesses mentioned unusual shapes, such as elongated discs or ovals, leaving luminous trails in the sky. In Chichaoua, two people reported three "white fires" at night, while in other areas yellow objects moving east to west were noted. These sightings, though unconfirmed, generated interest and concern at the time, especially due to the inability to identify them with known technology. The CIA archived these reports as part of its database on unidentified aerial phenomena.
