Summary

In July 1978, a Barcelona-based UFO organization reported to the Spanish Air Force about a UFO sighting, allegedly detected by the radar at El Prat airport. The object supposedly flew over Barcelona, Hospitalet, and Sabadell. After a series of communications between military units, confirmation was requested from the airport. The official report concluded there was no record of such an event. The radar did not detect any unidentified object, though launches of U.S. balloons were mentioned as possible sources of confusion. The file was declassified in 1994 with no significant findings.
